The Necromancer's and the Body of Henri Matisse

The Necromancer's and the Body of Henri Matisse uses the stencil printed picture of Icarus by Henri Matisse. Now doubled up to depict two silhouettes surrounding the body of a figure resembling that of the artist Matisse. This picture is now suggestive of beings that appear to be in some kind of ritualistic stance.

The Necromancer's and the Body of Henri Matisse is a painting about the future of mans perseverance to reanimate a dead human being. In the future scientist will be able to take a hair or skin follicle accidentally left by an artist in the surface of a painting by the artist. From the DNA of that hair, an artist from the past will be resurrected.
